Summary: SpeakUp ReachOut is the suicide prevention coalition of Eagle County. Our mission is to prevent suicide in Eagle County through training, awareness and HOPE. We offer prevention and intervention training, suicide loss support services as well as events and connections to bring awareness to suicide as a public health issue in our community.

Organization Name: Building Hope Summit County

Region: Summit County

Summary: Building Hope Summit County is a convening agency who supports mental health stigma reduction, access to care, and helpful resources. Everything that Building Hope does, in terms of programming, is with the focus of suicide prevention as a goal. We also work with a local committee called the Suicide Prevention Action Team. Many organizations and community entities are on this collaborative committee to combat suicide in Summit County.

Organization Name: Garfield County Public Health

Region: Garfield County

Summary: Garfield County Public Health is dedicated to reducing the burden of preventable deaths, while encouraging overall better health, which includes mental and behavioral health components. Working with Suicide Prevention Coalition of Garfield County we are making upstream efforts around the social determinants of mental health a priority by bringing the public health perspective to ongoing outreach and community engagement.

Organization Name: Postvention Alliance

Region: In person activities in Mesa County. Virtually all counties in Colorado. Website resources available world wide.

Summary: Postvention Alliance provides education & support for suicide loss survivors, suicide attempt survivors, and those who have been affected by the suicidal crisis of another. We encourage trauma-informed provider and peer care, and we closely follow research that supports survivor and caregiver voices.

Region: Medical services are available to all Western Slope and Eastern Utah community members.

Summary: St. Mary's Medical Center participates in Zero Suicide Framework, spearheads community education, and is dedicated to helping reduce suicide burden in Mesa County.

Organization Name: James Kirk Bernard Foundation

Region: Pitkin and Eagle

Summary: JKBF seeks to advance understanding of the biology of suicide in order to identify lifestyle and biological risk factors/pathways involved in suicide behavior. Awareness of physiological factors that might operate independent of, or in addition to, previously recognized psychosocial risk factors may uncover avoidable exposures or modifiable mechanisms (e.g. sleep) that expand individual as well as population-based approaches for suicide treatment and prevention.

Organization Name: Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide

Region: Moffat County and Routt County

Summary: The mission of Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide (REPS) is to preserve, protect and promote life, by raising suicide awareness and providing a lifeline of support and healing in our communities. REPS provides suicide prevention, intervention and postvention. REPS is a volunteer coalition of community members invested in stopping suicide in the Yampa Valley and supporting those who have lost a love one to suicide through education and awareness. We believe that suicide is devastating to our community and that there are alternatives. We head many programs in our community such as the Colorado Gun shop project, It Takes Courage, Suicide Prevention Advocates (SPA), Question Persuade Refer (QPR) training, ASIST Workshops, and counseling support funds.

Organization Name: Rocky Mountain Health Plans

Region: RAE Region 1 (all Western Slope + Larimer County)

Summary: Rocky Mountain Health Plans is a regional health insurance provider in Colorado that administers plans for individuals and families, Medicaid members, and Medicare members. Our various departments - including care management, practice transformation, and community integration - work together to ensure members and our provider network have access to comprehensive, whole-person healthcare that addresses physical and mental health and connects them to resources in the community for additional needs related to social determinants of health.

Region: San Miguel, Delta, Montrose, Ouray

Summary: Tri-County Health Network educates community members on suicide prevention through Mental Health First Aid courses and safeTALK Suicide Alertness courses. Additionally, our organization offers teletherapy, NAMI Family-to-Family Courses, and a Behavioral Health Resource Directory. Each year TCHNetwork participates in May is Mental Health Month and September is Suicide Prevention Month where we help host an Out of the Darkness Walk sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Summary: Our organization is a non-profit education center that provides training and educational material for health education students, as well as for healthcare professionals. My role as Regional Health Connector involves a focus on behavioral health, health equity, resource linkages between healthcare and community resource agencies and diversity, equity & inclusion.

Summary: The Aspen Hope Center is a Crisis Center that does mobile crisis and co-response work as well as has education programs and school based based clinicians who prevent crises by seeing kids in the schools BEFORE a crisis.
